Buffalo Grove police and other law enforcement agencies will step up DUI enforcement during and after Sunday's Super Bowl -- typically second only to New Year's Eve for DUI-related traffic deaths, said Sgt. Scott Kristiansen.
Many Illinois departments are receiving grants from the Illinois Department of Transportation to increase DUI patrols, with Buffalo Grove's special enforcement running through Feb. 14. Officials ask Super Bowl revelers to designate drivers before drinking begins.
