COSTA MESA The Costa Mesa Police Department will hold a DUI/drivers license checkpoint from 5 p.m. to midnight today on 19th Street at Pomona Avenue.
Police are conducting the sobriety DUI checkpoint in efforts to reduce the number of alcohol-related crashes and deaths.
Funding for the DUI operation is provided by a grant from the state Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
