BOONE COUNTY -- The Boone County Sheriff's Department made 10 DUI arrests Friday night into early Saturday morning at two sobriety DUI checkpoints.
The first DUI checkpoint was conducted around 11 p.m. in northwest Columbia into Boone County. The second was at Brown School Road and Providence Road around 1 a.m.
Four of the arrests were for driving while intoxicated, one was for possession of marijuana, one for drug paraphernalia, one for a liquor violation and two were for revoked drivers license.
The operation was funded by a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation Division of Highway Safety.
