The Orange County Register reported on an Orange County DUI. A woman was arrested on suspicion of Orange County DUI after a mother and her son were hit and injured by a car while riding a Vespa scooter at Del Prado and Street of the Golden Lantern in Dana Point.
The Orange County DUI incident happened about 2:45 p.m. Sunday. The mother was hit on the chest with the side mirror of the car, resulting in a "large contusion," said sheriff's Sgt. Jim Greenwood.
The driver of the car, Elizabeth Vasquez, was arrested for Orange County DUI and jailed in Santa Ana with bail set at $100,000, Greenwood said. Vasquez, a 33-year-old collector, was released Monday after posting bond.
